The university of Suez (Egypt) seeks a spanish company to carry out an r & D project focused on the development of a system of water with solar energy efficient and low-cost technologies, which include water pollution
La iniciativa está liderada por el Dr. Walaa Omar, de la Facultad de Ingeniería de laThe Suez canal university, and has a team with extensive experience in this area, with more than 50 r & D projects in water with solar energy and various scientific publications on water pollution.
The aim of the proposal is to develop a system of solar desalination water efficient and low cost, designed to meet the needs of decentralised production of water. This raises the use of a channel parabólico with solar tracking system, used to heat a thermal storage tank incorporating better materials through nanotechnology to optimise its performance. The accumulated heat will operate various configurations, including solar distillers tubular pyramid, spherical and.
The draft also provides for the integration of water pollution, combining the results of a hybrid system of parabólico channel, photovoltaic and solar distillers. A comparative study evaluated different methods of atmospheric water harvesting techniques that focus on reduction of temperature and/or materials of absorption of moisture and install a pilot prototype in Suez (Egypt).
The proposal aims to be submitted to the call 2025 for the development of r & D projects between spanish and egyptian entities within the framework of theInnovation programme Egipto-españa (ESIP, by its initials in english), open until 3 december 2025.
