The CDTI SICC Innvierte of Innovation invests in NICHE Mobility, together with Mondragón promotion fund RCF II, to develop engines advanced electric bikes and sustainable

The company NICHE Mobility, specialized in innovation and mobility, develops advanced engines for electric bikes, focusing on systems of electric traction highly integrables, light and efficient. With the implementation of these technological solutions undertakes to transform the urban mobility, facilitating the daily use of the bike rides and that every journey smoother, cleaner and more pleasant.

To achieve this goal, the company, located in the Scientific and Technological Park of Girona and founded by engineers Marc Barceló and Enric Delgado, works in the concept of ADTS ®, a change of automatic marches with european patent that optimizes the performance and experience in electric bikes and urban areas.

The CDTI Innovation, through Innvierte, has closed an operation of investment in this endeavour with Mondragón promotion fund, RCF II, with an amount of investment of €504,000. Thanks to this participation, the CDTI Innovation contributes to the development of technological solutions to mobility slight, advanced and sustainable.

Mondragón promotion fund, RCF II

The fund managed by the Key manager Capital, which aims to invest in technology-based enterprises in some of the areas of focus of the more than 150 cooperatives in the Mondragón Group (industrial and automotive B2B solutions, health, etc.), in order to create positive synergies in the investees and cooperatives. Investments can vary between 250,000 and €€2,000,000, assuming risks associated with investment seed. The heritage of the funds Mondragón Contestable fund I and II, RCF amount to $21 million euros and temporary nature is 10-12 years.

Innvierte

Innvierte is an initiative aimed at promoting the entrepreneurial innovation through support to the risk capital investment in technology-based enterprises or innovative programme. This is done through the collective investment type closed Innvierte Sustainable Economy SICC S.M.E., S.A., self-managed and under the supervision of the national Values and that the CDTI Innovation is a shareholder Only.

To date, the CDTI innovation has committed 2,661 M €in 61 investment vehicles that have invested in more than 622 companies, and through its joint investment line directly committed an amount of 723 M €in 190 firms.

Innvierte fits into the strategy for science, technology and innovation 2021-2027, adopted by decision of the council of ministers, in september. This 2020 Strategy contains goals, the reforms and measures to be taken throughout the area of r + D + i in order to boost their growth and impact, and is one of the pillars on which the design of the government's policy in r + D + i for the coming years.
