CDTI Innovation’s SICC Innvierte invests together with Swanlaab Innvierte Agri Food Tech in Grodi, to accelerate digitisation and robotisation in greenhouses
Thanks to this participation, the CDTI Innovation supports innovative companies that bet on the use of technologies to optimize crop management, improving productivity, efficiency and sustainability.
Grodi is a company created in 2022 in Almería that, together with a team specialized in engineering, robotics, artificial intelligence and agronomy, and with the help of its co-founders Samuel Ruiz, Natalia Gálvez and Ana Molina, has developed a system designed to respond to the specific challenges of Mediterranean intensive agriculture. Its proposal allows producers, cooperatives and seed houses to work with objective, standardized and continuous information, reducing uncertainties and improving decision-making.
This company, specialized in autonomous robotics and artificial vision, has developed VEGA 11, a robot designed to move autonomously in Mediterranean greenhouses and obtain complete visibility of each plant thanks to an advanced artificial vision system. Grodi’s technology combines proprietary hardware with algorithms based on machine learning and massive data analysis, allowing growers to optimize their agronomic management, anticipate plant health problems and estimate crop yields with high accuracy. The Grodi APP digital platform centralizes all information in real time to facilitate the making and execution of safer, more efficient and more sustainable decisions.

The company is in a key phase of growth in which it seeks to consolidate the commercial implementation of VEGA 11, while continuing to expand its technological portfolio with new products that provide robust and directly applicable solutions in the daily lives of people working in agriculture. Its objective is to strengthen its presence in the market and accelerate the standardization of advanced technologies in greenhouses at national and international level.
The CDTI Innovation, through Innvierte, has closed an investment operation in Grodi with Swanlaab Innvierte Agri Food Tech with an investment amount of 500,000 euros. Thanks to this participation, it is possible to provide efficient, comfortable solutions that speed up the daily productive management of farmers.
