The SICC Innvierte of the CDTI Innovation invests in ABAC HORIZON FUND INNVIERTE, F.C.R, fund launched by ABAC CAPITAL to promote the generation of a positive environmental impact

CDTI Innovation, through its Innvierte initiative, has committed an investment of up to 73.5 million euros in ABAC HORIZON FUND INNVIERTE, FCRE, a fund managed by ABAC CAPITAL MANAGER SGEIC, S.A., which invests in companies whose environmental impact is directly linked to its main activity.

The fund invests in the Lower Mid Market segment (EBITDA between 2 and 5 million euros) with a strategy of taking majority shares in companies that have differentiated value proposals, technological leadership, growth potential, opportunities for improvement in operational efficiency through professionalization and international expansion.

The commitment of the CDTI Innovation in Abac Horizon, through Innvierte, is 73.5 million euros, which joins the commitments of international investors such as the European Investment Fund and national investors such as the Institut Català de Finances (ICF). Regarding the typology of investors, it is worth highlighting the participation of insurance companies, pension funds, fund funds and family offices, among others, in the first closing.

Abac Capital

Innvierte

Innvierte is an initiative whose objective is to promote business innovation by supporting venture capital investment in technology-based or innovative companies. This program is implemented through the closed-ended collective investment company Innvierte Economía Permanente SICC S.M.E., S.A., self-managed and subject to the supervision of the National Securities Market Commission and of which CDTI Innovation is a single shareholder.

To date, the CDTI Innovation has committed, through Innvierte, 3,183.8 M€ in 57 investment vehicles and, through its co-investment line, has directly committed an amount of 864.3 M€ in 197 companies.

Innvierte is part of the Spanish Strategy of Science, Technology and Innovation 2021-2027, approved by Agreement of the Council of Ministers, in September 2020. This Strategy contains the objectives, reforms and measures that must be adopted throughout the field of R+D+I in order to boost its growth and impact, and is one of the pillars on which the design of the Government's R+D+I policy for the coming years is based.

The Center for Technological Development and Innovation, CDTI E.P.E.
