David Anguera, CEO of Nubemsystems: “ with the financing of CDTI and the FEDER, we have been able to transform a vision in our own platform for automation of IT services with Ai and blockchain ”

What began in 2002 as a personal project of an entrepreneur with technological vocation, it is now a smes pisa with the national digital eco. Nubemsystems with headquarters in Palma de Cervelló (Barcelona), has come over two decades offering solutions to the hotel sector, to embark on the development of a platform with cutting-edge technologies. This new project, cofinanced by the CDTI Innovation and european funds ERDF, marks a turning point in its history: a solution articulated with blockchain artificial intelligence and for the provision of services automated information technology (IT).

“ this new solution will allow smes to improve operational efficiency through the automation of more than 70 per cent of the effects of these tools, thus reducing downtime and increase by 30 per cent the performance of their systems. Moreover, it is estimated a reduction of up to 25 per cent in operating costs IT, together with a capacity for early prediction of judgements that reaches a hit rate of 85 per cent, to facilitate a more effective preventive maintenance, ” says David Anguera, CEO of Nubemsystems.

In the development of this tool “ support of the CDTI and the FEDER has meant much more than a lump sum: it has been a turning point in our evolution as a company. Has enabled us to move from being a service company with its own product, with identity innovative and real capacity to build technology with purpose ”, add.

Technological leap

Since its inception, Nubemsystems has maintained a firm commitment to excellence and innovation. Specialized in hotelero-restaurador sector has led to the company to work with hotels, shared workspaces, university residences and clients of the scope of the retail trade, offering solutions, cloud infrastructure maintenance, consultancy and security.

The current team, composed of seven people — of which five are tables dumped in r + D + i — has been essential in the momentum towards the development of a proprietary technology. “ The most relevant new developments we have reached in the past two years, when we consolidate a professional technical team and multidisciplinary approach, ” explains David Anguera. It has allowed them to not only strengthen services already rendered to customers, but begin to design and implement a solution IT uses artificial intelligence (IA) and blockchain to revolutionize the management and provision of technology services.

Artificial intelligence and blockchain as axes

The new solution — under the name of ITAAS (IT Automation as a Service) — has been designed specifically to remove barriers that prevent many small organizations going digital with guarantees: a high cost, technological complexity, lack of qualified staff and operational risk.

This is a scalable platform, intuitive and accessible in the cloud, designed to provide support services, maintenance, cyber-security devices and provision of documentary management through a simple, accessible from the marketplace or mobile application. The IA is responsible for anticipating incidences, automate diagnoses and propose solutions in real time, while technology blockchain ensures traceability, integrity and security in all processes.

In its development, the team has divided the evolution of the draft into two main phases. By now 100 per cent of sales of Nubemsystems come from the spanish market and the company has clear its medium-term objective: to consolidate its presence throughout the national territory, technically and commercially validating its new solution.

The next steps are progressively expanded customer base, to establish synergies with technology partners, to strengthen the human team and even participate in public programmes aimed at smes digitization.

“ the priority now is to grow in a sustainable manner, without losing the close proximity to our current clients ”, says David Anguera. In that way, the launch of its new software will be the central milestone.

When asked by the broader effects of european funding, David Anguera replied that “ funding channeled through the CDTI and the FEDER has a key impact at both the economic and social council in the ecosystem innovative english ”.
