The collaboration between the CDTI ADER innovation and strengthens the innovative ecosystem of La Rioja

Yesterday, thursday, 10 july, the 7th meeting of the mixed commission for the follow-up to a collaboration agreement signed in 2019 between the centre for technological development and innovation (CDTI Innovation) and the Economic development agency of La Rioja (HE) geared to promoting innovation and technological development in this autonomous community.

During the meeting, both entities repasaron key indicators of activity related to the implementation of the convention, emphasizing growth in the number of projects approved and the improvement in the funding granted to companies la rioja in the first half of 2025. In this period, the CDTI Innovation has adopted 14 draft R + D + i with a total budget of €7.3m and a contribution of $5 million by the CDTI.

From 2021 have approved a total of 69 projects in La Rioja, mainly in the form of reimbursable partially aid, grants and project support in international technology cooperation. Stresses in this Area the participation of entities la rioja in such initiatives as Chineka Eureka, and the Eurostars programme. These projects enabled spanish companies to strengthen their technological capacity and expand the impact of their products, processes and services in international markets.

In connection with the Pre-Commercial Public Purchase (CPP), tool that promotes innovation from the public sector through the acquisition of innovative solutions, there is currently no user public administrations in La Rioja, yes, there have been shares of companies la rioja. It Is the case of Bosonit, rioja company selected in two tenders for the development of innovative solutions.

Topics discussed, were also identified various lines of action for the future. These include the return of the Network ’ S PIDI, Network of points of Information on state aid to r + D + I coordinated by the CDTI, the promotion of the scheme of Plug-in EIC accelerator for the period 2026-2027 and follow-up to the participation of entities la rioja in international programmes as Horizon Europe, where The Rioja presents a success rate something better than the national average.

Both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to continued collaboration and strategic, aimed at consolidating a regional innovation ecosystem strong, competitive and aligned with the national and european priorities in r + D + I. This cooperation enables not only improving access to financing for companies la rioja, but also to encourage a more innovative business fabric, internationalized and prepared for the technological challenges in future.
