The CDTI Innovation and the community of Madrid reinforce its collaboration to drive innovation and technological development in this Autonomous Community
The meeting highlighted the strategic importance of these annual meetings to consolidate institutional cooperation, a move in the coordination of public policies of support for r + D + i and strengthen the regional innovation ecosystem
During the sixth meeting of the mixed commission to follow up the cooperation agreement between the CDTI Innovation and the community of Madrid, held yesterday at the seat of the CDTI innovation in Madrid, the annual report was submitted to monitor implementation of the convention, which reflects the main actions developed to promote innovation and technological development in this Autonomous Community.
According to the report, the CDTI innovation has adopted 1,264 r & D & I projects promoted by the spanish capital companies in the past five years, a total budget of approximately 1,250 million euros, with the CDTI has brought about 69 per cent. The entities of the community of Madrid maintained strong participation in the main lines of financing managed by the CDTI Innovation, including r & D projects individual (IDI), the hotline for innovation (LIC) and support for Technological Centres Cervera. In Addition, madrid companies have a significant presence in the calls for Science and innovation Missions, a strategic initiative to promote the CDTI r & D projects in collaboration público-privada propose solutions to cross-cutting and strategic challenges for society.
Within the activities to support technological entrepreneurship, the programme INNVIERTE, managed by the CDTI Innovation and whose aim is to promote entrepreneurial innovation through support to the risk capital investment in technology-based enterprises or innovative investments, committed in madrid 43 smes through their direct joint investment lines and transfer of technology, in collaboration with venture capital funds and private entities involved. These actions have enabled us to devote resources to companies with high potential for growth and technological base, promoting its expansion and to develop its competitiveness and their integration into global markets.
At the international level, the participation of companies and centres of madrid in r & D & I programme for technology cooperation contributes to broaden their base of knowledge, foster collaboration with partners, international technology projects from a global perspective and to facilitate access to new markets. In the past five years have now been adopted by 105 international projects with participation of entities of the community of Madrid in programmes such as EUREKA, EUROSTARS or ERA-NET Cofund, revealing the active participation in the capital in international initiatives for technology cooperation.
The community of Madrid also maintains an active part in Horizon europe through the proceedings and other notices that the CDTI Innovation manages national contact point (NCP), by encouraging the integration of the entities of the spanish capital in international consortia of research and technological development.
The meeting reaffirmed the cooperation between the two institutions in the momentum of supportive public policies to r + D + i, with particular attention to strengthening enterprise competitiveness, the transfer of knowledge and the development of projects with technological and social impact in the community of Madrid.
