The CDTI Innovation launches INNTERCONECTA STEP with eur 90 million for r & D and strategically in disruptive cooperation

The centre for technological development and innovation (CDTI), the agency for financing innovation of the ministry of science, innovation and universities, has just launched the convening 2025 of INNTERCONECTA STEP, focused on strengthening cooperation between companies and research to promote the development of disruptive technologies and improving the competitiveness of spanish business fabric through projects in cooperation to promote the transfer of knowledge and the creation of synergies in the ecosystem.

Endowed with eur 90 million in grants in competitive competitions and more focused on technological Areas STEP: digital technologies, clean and efficient technologies in the use of resources and biotechnology, the call, which will feature ERDF co-financing through the ERDF Plurirregional spain 2021-2027 multi-year project, financed to develop, at least two of the following communities or autonomous cities: Andalusia, the canaries, Castilla-La Mancha, Castile and León, Ceuta, valencia, Extremadura, Galicia, Melilla and Murcia. The projects, projects, whose budget should be between 4 and 1 million euros, should have, at least one subcontracting minimum of 10 per cent of eligible budget to research bodies and start in 2025 and end on 31 december 2027 to 30 june 2028.

As a novelty, the CDTI Innovation has given this call for grants with an alternative path of direct access to financing for those projects which, having received a positive assessment, cannot be helped by depletion of the budget. These proposals will be accessible directly, without the need for a new technical evaluation and present the new proposal, of the financing instrument for Partially Refundable Aid (APR) of the CDTI, consisting of long-term loans, a fixed rate below market and with a stretch of the loan that is not necessary to return (tranche non-refundable), being the only requirement that exceed the financial evaluation of the instrument.

May attend the convening groups formed by a minimum of two and a maximum of six companies, to be at least one of them smes and at least two of which were self-contained with each other. The resulting grouping will not have legal personality, hence one of the participants will act as coordinator or representative to the CDTI and members of the group, they must subscribe to a prior to the formulation of the request, an internal agreement to regulate its operation. The minimum budget business will be eligible for 175,000 euros.

The submission of applications will begin on 11 april and will expire on 19 may 2025, at 12 noon, time peninsular.
