El CDTI Innovación y la Generalitat Valenciana consolidan su alianza para impulsar la I+D+i regional
The CDTI Innovation yesterday in Madrid hosted the 7th meeting of the mixed commission for the follow-up to the cooperation agreement with the Generalitat Valenciana, which took account of the results achieved under the agreement signed to drive innovation and technological development in this community
The centre for technological development and innovation, CDTI Innovation held yesterday, wednesday, 9 july, at its headquarters in Madrid, the seventh meeting of the joint commission for follow-up to the agreement signed with the Generalitat Valenciana, through the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness, IVACE + I, for collaboration in fostering innovation and technological development in the valencian community.
The participants presented the main indicators of the annual follow-up report, which reflect positive developments in the participation of valencian entities in support programmes for r + D + I managed by the CDTI.
Since the year 2021 has adopted more than 820 projects, with a total contribution of Innovation of CDTI about 400 million euros. Only so far in 2025, it had adopted 110 projects with a budget of over eur 71 million, of which the CDTI provides almost 54 million.
The participation in the form of grant such as Missions NEOTEC, Science and innovation and Eurostars, as well as the extraordinary measures put in place by the CDTI innovation to support businesses affected by DANA, which have allowed us to fund projects through ROMAN lines and with special conditions.
They also underlined the impetus given to the participation of valencian companies in international technology cooperation, with 43 projects approved from 2021. It was also emphasized the role of the programme Innvierte, an initiative aimed at promoting the entrepreneurial innovation through support to the risk capital investment in technology-based enterprises or innovative. This instrument is channelled through collective investment type closed Innvierte Sustainable Economy SICC S.M.E., S.A., whose sole shareholder is the CDTI Innovation. In the region of valencia, 19 companies have received support through this programme, which has contributed to its growth, technological development and positioning in strategic markets.
In the area of Pre-Commercial Public Purchase (CPP), highlighted the participation of valencian entities in a number of initiatives co-financed by the CDTI Innovation. These include the participation of the Universitat Politècnica de València in the draft Neuromodulación Oncovisión or in the development of a brain PET. Have also been contracting entities such as water and AINIA Valencia in tenders for projects such as the preservation of organs or desalination of seawater. In addition, the prototype developed within the framework of the initiative will be validated in HADRONTERAPIA facilities of the CSIC at Valencia.
Under the programme Horizon europe, the entities of the valencian community have reached a significant return, with more than 411 million euro of subsidy, which represents a 8.75 per cent of the national total. This fact reveals the commitment of the ecosystem valenciano with r + D + I and its consolidation as a relevant player at european level.
The meeting has served to note the progress made since the signing of the convention and reaffirm the commitment of both entities with the momentum of innovation, cooperation público-privada and internalization of business fabric valenciano be central to economic growth and sustainable technology in the region.
