The CDTI Innovation, through Innvierte, approves to commit more than 1 billion euros for 24 new co-investments and participate in 14 investment vehicles

Since January 2026 and to date, Innvierte has approved 24 new co-investments, 4 strategic, in the sectors Bio, Health and Agri-Food (11), ICT (4), Industry (5) and Energy and Environment (4) and the commitment to participate in 14 investment vehicles

The investment commitment by CDTI Innovation in the last six months is 1,048.5 million euros

The CDTI Innovation, innovation agency of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, as promoter of the Innvierte initiative and sole shareholder of this company, has approved in the first six months of this year 2026 the co-investment in 24 companies, with a commitment of contribution from Innvierte of 104.1 million euros, of which 81.4 million euros are committed for four strategic co-investments.

Of the approved co-investments, 1 is initial investment in a new company and 23 are follow-up investments of companies already in the portfolio.

With regard to the sectors, the co-investments are divided according to the following table:

As for the registered office of the companies in which the coinvestment has been approved, they are distributed by Autonomous Community according to the following table:

In relation to the stage of development or maturity of the companies in which co-investment has been approved, following the definitions agreed between the main European venture capital associations, they are divided according to the following table:

The non-strategic co-investments will be carried out with 44 investors that have been previously approved by Innvierte and that will contribute 28.8 million euros.

In addition to co-investment commitments, participation in 14 investment vehicles has also been committed with a financial contribution of up to 944.4 million euros; this represents a global commitment so far this year of 1,048.5 million euros in direct and indirect co-investments.  

In the first half of 2026, the approval of 4 new professional private investors was also approved, so the total number of investors approved by Innvierte to date amounts to 200. De éstos, 157 inversores son activos presentando solicitudes de coinversión a Innvierte.


Innvierte

Innvierte is an initiative whose objective is to promote business innovation by supporting venture capital investment in technology-based or innovative companies. This program is implemented through the closed-ended collective investment company Innvierte Economía Permanente SICC S.M.E., S.A., self-managed and subject to the supervision of the National Securities Market Commission and of which CDTI Innovation is a single shareholder.

To date, the CDTI Innovation has committed, through Innvierte, 3,830.2 M€ in 67 investment vehicles and, through its co-investment line, has directly committed an amount of 938.3 M€ in 197 companies.

Innvierte is part of the Spanish Strategy of Science, Technology and Innovation 2021-2027, approved by Agreement of the Council of Ministers, in September 2020. This Strategy contains the objectives, reforms and measures that must be adopted throughout the field of R+D+I in order to boost its growth and impact, and is one of the pillars on which the design of the Government's R+D+I policy for the coming years is based.
