The CDTI Innovation, through Innvierte, approves 24 new co-investments and participate in 6 investment vehicles, with a commitment of about 323 million euros

Since January 2025 and to date, Innvierte has approved 68 new co-investments, three strategic, in the sectors Bio, Health and Agri-Food (29), ICT (13), Industry (14), Energy and Environment (11) and Others (1) and the commitment to participate in 13 investment vehicles

The investment commitment by CDTI Innovation in the last four months is about 323 million euros

The CDTI Innovation, an innovation agency of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, as promoter of the Innvierte initiative and sole shareholder of this company, has approved in the last four months the co-investment in 24 companies, with a contribution commitment from Innvierte of 38.9 million euros, of which 12.8 million euros are committed for a strategic co-investment.

Of the approved co-investments, 9 are initial investments in new companies and 15 are follow-up investments of companies already in the portfolio.

With regard to the sectors, the co-investments are divided according to the following table:

As for the registered office of the companies in which the coinvestment has been approved, they are distributed by Autonomous Community according to the following table:

In relation to the stage of development or maturity of the companies in which co-investment has been approved, following the definitions agreed between the main European venture capital associations, they are divided according to the following table:

The non-strategic co-investments will be carried out with 36 investors that have been previously approved by Innvierte and that will contribute 39.7 million euros.

In addition to the commitments on co-investments, participation in 6 investment vehicles has also been committed with a financial contribution of up to 284.2 million euros; which means a global commitment so far of 1,091 million euros in 13 investment vehicles.  

So far this year, the approval of 27 new professional private investors has also been approved, so the total number of investors approved by Innvierte to date amounts to 196. De éstos, 151 inversores son activos presentando solicitudes de coinversión a Innvierte.


Innvierte

Innvierte is an initiative whose objective is to promote business innovation by supporting venture capital investment in technology-based or innovative companies. This program is implemented through the closed-ended collective investment company Innvierte Economía Permanente SICC S.M.E., S.A., self-managed and subject to the supervision of the National Securities Market Commission and of which CDTI Innovation is a single shareholder.

To date, the CDTI Innovation has committed 2,898 M€ in 65 investment vehicles that have invested in more than 636 companies, and through its co-investment line has directly committed an amount of 761 M€ in 199 companies.

Innvierte is part of the Spanish Strategy of Science, Technology and Innovation 2021-2027, approved by Agreement of the Council of Ministers, in September 2020. This Strategy contains the objectives, reforms and measures that must be adopted throughout the field of R+D+I in order to boost its growth and impact, and is one of the pillars on which the design of the Government's R+D+I policy for the coming years is based.
