The CDTI Innovation and the galician Agency Innovation held the 6th Mixed Commission to monitor implementation of the convention to promote r & D & i in Galicia

Yesterday, wednesday, 11 june, was held at the headquarters of the CDTI Innovation in Madrid the sixth committee joint follow-up to the agreement signed with the galician Innovation Agency (GAIN), focused on strengthening collaboration for the promotion of innovation and technological development in Galicia

Collaboration between CDTI and GAIN reinforces a galician innovation ecosystem more competitive and aligned with the great challenges of europe

These mixed committees monitoring are intended to consolidate an area of collaboration between the CDTI Innovation and the autonomous communities, with the aim of aligning efforts in respect of I + D + I, synergies and strengthen the reach of aid in the business fabric.

During this meeting, chaired by representatives of the CDTI and galician Innovation Agency (GAIN), repasaron the progress of the current action Plan, under the cooperation agreement signed by both entities. This convention, signed in 2019 and extended by 2023, lays the foundation for cooperation to enhance the participation of galician companies in international and national programmes of R + D + I.

In the session introduced the updated monitoring report, which reflects a positive assessment of collaboration. The major results, highlights the adoption of 330 r & D & I projects for galician companies between 2021 and 2025, with a total contribution of the CDTI close to 150 million euros. It was also stressed the remarkable activity in calls as ERDF Interconnects, and programs like NEOTEC CDTI, Missions, projects Cervera and programme Innvierte channelling in Galicia 3.7 billion in investments committed.

The committee also took up the momentum to the Pre-Commercial Public Purchase, with the participation of entities of galicia in tenders as the proposal for the development of a simulation environment U-Space or overall management of trials and clinical studies, in collaboration with the Galician health Service (SERGAS).

At the international level, Galicia maintains strong participation in international technology cooperation in Europe and Horizon, with 3.7 per cent of returns, which represents a significant increase in respect of programme H2020. Universities and technological centres gallegos leads the regional return, with strong participation in the Clusters of industry, health and Bioeconomía.

This meeting reaffirms the commitment set of Innovation and CDTI GAIN by further promoting entrepreneurial innovation in Galicia through solid cooperation, sustained over time and in line with the strategic priorities, regional and national. These commissions are not only seek to boost innovation in the short term, but also to contribute to the consolidation of a system of I + D + I, resilient and competitive oriented to the great challenges european as the digital processing, the ecological transition and territorial cohesion. Galicia, with a dynamic business ecosystem, a consolidated científico-tecnológica coordinated and momentum of the two institutions, is positioned as an example on how collaboration público-pública can become a real lever of economic and technological development sustainable.
