The CDTI Innovation is meeting with the autonomous communities to develop further cooperation in respect of business innovation

The director-general of the CDTI innovation, José Moisés Martín Checker has presided today an annual gathering of work in Santander with representatives of entities of the different autonomous communities with which the centre maintained cooperation agreements to pursue together innovation and technological development in the business fabric

This meeting takes place within the framework of the network ASKED by their strategic importance in the promotion of the instruments of support for r & D

Since 2005, the CDTI Innovation maintains a subscription policy of cooperation agreements with all the autonomous communities, with the objective of promoting the exchange of information, promote and encourage proceedings shared a common space for dialogue in the area of promoting entrepreneurial innovation. This cooperation is particularly relevant in an innovation system as the spanish legislation contains state powers, regional and local government, including and municipalities.

This territorial complexity has been defined as a challenge for the european commission itself. In its recommendations, he highlighted the need to improve the complementarity and coordination of operations between the various activities in support of the R + D + I.

To attain these goals, the CDTI innovation has developed various tools of institutional cooperation, including follow-up bilateral meetings with each autonomous community, as well as an annual gathering of a strategic nature which allows a sharing of experiences, aligning priorities and assess jointly policies deployed.

In addition, the CDTI serves as focal point and technical manager of the network PIDI (network of points of information on state aid to r + D + i), which provides information and advice to companies and entrepreneurs on the various instruments for financing of r + D + i, both nationally and internationally.

This approach is reinforced in the new strategic Plan 2024 – 2027 of CDTI, which contains a set of initiatives aimed at improving complementarity and cooperation between the different levels of support for entrepreneurial innovation and r + D. Among these actions include:

  • The launch of an information exchange system that enables the autonomous communities to analyse the territorial impact of the financing of CDTI in their strategies of smart specialisation.
  • The quest for greater coordination in existing financing mechanisms.
  • Encouraging participation in regional programmes and initiatives of international technology cooperation.
  • The development of joint investment mechanisms and dialogue on financing for startups, especially in the framework of the programme INNVIERTE.

These actions will further progress in a more effective partnership among government agencies, aimed at strengthening the system of innovation and improve the impact of public policies on the business fabric english.
