The CDTI Innovation power technological collaboration in advanced materials with China

The CDTI innovation has held in Beijing today the day “ dialogue of innovation with China: Advanced Materials for the transition And the Industrial competitiveness ", with the aim of strengthening the scientific and technological cooperation between Spain and China and to show the capacities of spanish ecosystem in the field of materials

A dialogue to advance industrial innovation and sustainability

The meeting, organized by the centre for technological development and innovation (CDTI Innovation) in collaboration with the spanish embassy in beijing, the ministry of science and technology of China (MOST) and the China Science and Technology Exchange Center (CSTEC), has focused on the strategic role of advanced materials as an engine of industrial innovation and sustainability.

The act has been opened by Marta Betanzos, ambassador of Spain in China, Wang Xiao, deputy director of the department of international cooperation of the MOST and Gao Xiang, director general of CSTEC. By the CDTI Innovation has participated Carlos de la Cruz, director of Technology and internationalisation.

A spanish delegation composed of 9 entities — AIMPLAS, AITIIP, ARCELOR MITTAL, GESTAMP IMDEA, materials, MATERPLAT PROSIX, SIMPLICITY, WORKS and TECNALIA — has submitted their technological capacity in the area of advanced materials and their opportunities for collaboration with institutions and enterprises in china.

On the part of China, and in the framework of its fourteenth year Plan, which identifies the advanced materials as a strategic sector and promotes the development of an innovative and competitive industry at the international level, have been many entities. These include companies like Beijing Easpring Material Technology, the main provider of cathodes for lithium batteries, or Semcorp, the largest producer by volume of dividing films for lithium ion battery. The number of startups in this area is approximately 150, forty-eight of which have secured funding Series A + and a consideration of unicorno. Among the most prominent contained Cnano Technology in; Jiangsu Qina New Material Technology, superalloys; ZNShine PV-Tech in solar modules and storage systems; Shanghai B & C Pharmaceutical, fotorresistentes resins for semiconductors; Nibertex, nanofibras and derivatives; or Shenzhen Technologies Aligns Fun.

During the day there is also submitted an outline of financing CHINEKA implemented jointly by the CDTI Innovation and the ministry of science and technology of China, aiming to boost bilateral projects r & D.

The day included bilateral meetings between entities of the two countries and will continue with a technical agenda in Hangzhou and shanghai until 24 october, with visits and meetings promoted by the commission on science and technology of Zhejiang provincial government and the Shanghai municipal government.

Programme: Momentum CHINEKA technology cooperation

This programme promotes and funds projects sets of r & D between spanish and chinese entities, promoting bilateral technological collaboration in strategic sectors and industrial high impact.

Through its annual appeal, CHINEKA drives business cooperation aimed at innovation, allowing technology development projects with partners in both countries to access coordinated public funding.

Since its launch, this initiative has helped to strengthen the linkages between the two ecosystems of innovation and to support internationalization of spanish companies.

The centre for technological development and innovation, CDTI E.P.E. is the agency for innovation of the ministry of science, innovation and universities, whose goal is the promotion of technological innovation in business.
