The project aims to sustainable enhancement of industrial waste

The projectCANNAVEG-CAPdriven by chilean companyMa Botánics SPAfirst, the country's agricultural company specialized in the cultivation, processing and distribution of cannabidiol (CBD), the active principle derived from industrial hemp, counts with the collaboration of theCatholic university of Maule.

The initiative intends to respond to the problem of waste industrial hemp in the region of Maule. To that end, a proposal to develop an innovative process allows the automatic processing of biomass residual high-value cellulose, through the integration of biotechnological processes and chemical, the sustainable technologies IoT automation and artificial intelligence, traceability and the analysis of life-cycle, in the framework of a regenerative circular bioeconomía. The expected result seeks to have applications such as vegetable capsules arising from carboximetilcelulosa (CMC) refined for applications in the pharmaceutical sector.

Call for technology cooperation with Chile

This collaborative project international technological may be submitted to the convening of Eureka forR & D in circular value creation.

We look for firms with experience in digital technology applied to industry, able to add value in digitization, interoperability, control, design of materials and products with IA, simulations and predictive analysis, sensorización and robotics. It also requires the development of an automatic line chemical processing for the extraction of cellulose refined and separation of components of agro-industrial waste.

By the proximity of the term, we accept expressions of interest until 12 september 2025.
