The university of Damietta (Egypt) seeks a spanish company to develop an r & D project focused on the implementation of artificial intelligence and digital technologies to the conservation, documentation and historical heritage egyptian
The initiative is led by dr. Nabil Mabrouk, university of Damietta, focusing on the implementation of the artificial intelligence (IA) and other information technologies to the study, preservation and management of historical sites. The project intends to take as a case study agricultural museum of Giza (AMG), with the aim of restoring and preserving their heritage through the implementation of advanced tools for digital documentation and analysis.
The proposal includes activities of characterization, documentation, research, analysis and a museum exhibit, as well as the use of materials and techniques for the treatment and preservation of property damaged objects. In addition to its scientific and technological impact, it is expected that the project will help to foster cultural tourism in Egypt, to generate new economic opportunities and to strengthen cooperation between egyptian institutions and the spanish authorities.
The proposal aims to be submitted to the call 2025 for the development of r & D projects between spanish and egyptian entities within the framework of theInnovation programme Egipto-españa (ESIP, by its initials in english), open until 3 december 2025.
