The CDTI Innovation seeks a Spanish company to collaborate with Egypt in the treatment of wastewater from the petrochemical industry
The initiative seeks to remove crude and/or condensed oil residues from oil industry wastewater
The Egyptian Petroleum Research Institute (EPRI), a government research entity in the Egyptian petrochemical sector, is looking for a Spanish company to carry out an R&D project in the treatment of wastewater from the petrochemical industry.
The aim of the project is to remove crude and/or condensed oil residues from oil wastewater. With this objective, it is intended to achieve a pilot reactor, which would be tested in an Egyptian petrochemical company, that combines stages of filtration and biological and chemical treatment. This prototype would involve the development of nanocomposites and the simulation of the prototype with artificial intelligence, in order to be replicated in various Egyptian oil industries.
The proposed proposal aims to be presented to the call 2026 of the ESIP program "Egypt Spain Innovation Programme", within the framework of the Spanish-Egyptian Bilateral Technological Cooperation Program, which will remain open until December 3, 2026.
