The CDTI Innovation search a spanish company to work with the united arab emirates in r & D project of development of an autonomous robot waste collection in waterways
The University of Heriot-Watt Dubai (Uae) seeks a spanish company in order to engage in r & D project subsidized by the Dubai Research, Development and Innovation Initiative. The project aims to develop a self-off (USV-Unmanned Surface Vehicle) with cognitive architecture for the collection of waste in waterways
The project, known asCOGWATERS: Cognitive Architecture in A Set Of Surface Vehicle (UPS) for Debris Collection, is led by Dr Claudio Zito and it has received a grant ofDubai Research, Development and Innovation Initiative.
Its aim is to design and build a prototype of vehicle autonomous area equipped with old modular fiberglass, control systems and integrated electronic interface connecting external sensors and the reconfiguration of the robot according to various operational scenarios. The systematic integration of hardware and control algorithms based on Artificial Intelligence will enable the UPS operate reliably in various waterways, contributing significantly to improving the management of waste and environmental protection.
The emirati team are looking for a strategic partner with experience in marine robotics, particularly in electronic inclusion and platforms for project reconfigurable robotic r & D. Collaboration will focus on designing a reconfigurable system and easy maintenance, aligned with the millennium project's research COGWATERS.
The proposal is aimed at the invitation of 2025technology cooperation projects with international certification and unilateral follow-up, managed by the CDTI Innovation.
