International collaboration strengthens innovation in strategic sectors

IntreeLab is a supplier of OLED TEG (Test Evaluation Glass) and semiconductor packaging and R&D services for foundries, with extensive experience in photolithography, sputtering and electrolytic coating.

The aim of this collaboration is to combine IntreeLab’s experience in these processes with the capabilities of a Spanish company specializing in laser drilling and materials evaluation technologies, in order to implement TGV-based glass interconnection technologies for the packaging of state-of-the-art semiconductors.

The Spanish company must have a solid knowledge in laser micromachining, semiconductor packaging and material characterization, and will be responsible for the development of training processes and evaluation of interconnection structures through glass (TGV) for advanced semiconductor interposers.

To do this, the Spanish company is expected to have experience in fields such as:

  • Laser micromachining and material processing in femtosecond or picosecond laser systems capable of performing precision drilling on glass substrates.
  • Packaging of semiconductors.
  • Substrate interconnection technologies.
  • Manufacture of microelectronic interposers.
  • Advanced material characterization (XRD, SEM, XPS, Raman, AFM).

The proposed proposal will be presented to the call KSSP 2025-2026 between Spain and South Korea that will remain open until January 28, 2026.
