The CDTI Innovation and the Junta de andalucia reinforce their cooperation to strengthen the regional innovation ecosystem
The CDTI Innovation held yesterday in Seville the 6.ª meeting of the mixed commission to monitor implementation of the convention in collaboration with the Junta de andalucía, through the agency business transformation and economic development (Andalusia TRADE) for the promotion of innovation and technological development in this Autonomous Community

During this meeting, both institutions to take stock of the degree of progress in the revised convention, the impact of joint actions carried out and shared the main results achieved, identifying opportunities for improving the territorial impact of policies in support of R + D + I.
Specifically, in the course of the day, the analysis of different assistance instruments managed by the CDTI Innovation and participation of the andalusian entities in the different lines of financing, both domestic and international.
At the national level, it was stressed that, since the signing of the convention in june — extended until 2019 2027 — have been adopted and implemented more than 830 projects and operations of I + D + i in andalusia, with an overall investment of more than 600 million euros. Only in 2024 are supported 155 entrepreneurial initiatives, while in the first four months of 2025 have already been adopted 81 new projects.
At the international level, the CDTI Innovation promotes spanish participation in the framework programme for r + D + I to the European Union (Horizon Europe) and international multilateral initiatives and provides support to innovative companies in spain through its network of technological representatives. In the last five years, 46 r & D & I projects of international technology cooperation with the participation of entities of Andalusia have been approved and have received financial support from the CDTI. In addition, under the programme Horizon Europe, the entities of the region have been 879 proposals approved, with a success rate of 21.5 per cent, practically in line with the national average.
This joint analysis allowed also identify possible improvements in the dissemination and access to aid, as well as strengthening the institutional coordination to optimize the accompanies businesses in developing their projects.
These up commissions, which are held periodically with all the autonomous communities, are a key tool to ensure effective implementation and coordinated manner throughout the national territory of innovation public policies and explore new opportunities for collaboration to continue strengthening the regional ecosystem of innovation and to ensure better territorial reach of the tools for the promotion of R + D + I.
