The CDTI Innovation launches the 13th call for bilateral projects with certification and unilateral monitoring
The thirteenth call for bilateral R&D projects in international technological cooperation with certification and unilateral monitoring is aimed at Spanish companies interested in developing projects with international partners
Within the framework of its strategy to promote international technological cooperation, the CDTI Innovation launches its annual call for the presentation of bilateral projects with certification and unilateral monitoring, corresponding to the 13th call, which will remain open throughout the year 2026 and will have two cut-off dates for the presentation of proposals:
- First cut date: Friday, March 20, 2026, at 24:00 (Peninsular time).
- Second cut date: Friday, September 25, 2026, at 24:00 (Peninsular time).
The projects must be developed in international consortiums, with the participation of one or more Spanish companies and one or more foreign partners from the following countries: Brazil(*), Cape Verde, Cambodia, Qatar, Chile, China, Colombia, South Korea, Côte d'Ivoire (*), Costa Rica, Cuba, UAE(*), USA(*), Ecuador, Egypt, Ghana, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, Sri Lanka, Laos, Lebanon, Malaysia, Morocco, Mauritania, Myanmar, Mexico, Oman, Peru, Philippines, Dominican Republic, Senegal, Singapore(*), Thailand(*, Vietnam, Uruguay,
Within the framework of this call, the CDTI Innovation may recommend to the foreign company the presentation of the project to its national funding agency, especially in the countries marked with (*), where there is a prior commitment of collaboration with local funding agencies, which facilitates the development of the projects.
Participating Spanish companies will be able to apply for a Partially Refundable Aid, under the terms of the CDTI’s international technological cooperation projects, or a grant from the Innoglobal ERDF call, if applicable, with the conditions established for these programs. The minimum budget that can be financed per company is €175,000.
Partially Refundable Aid may reach up to 85% of the total approved budget. There are two types of support depending on the activity carried out in the project:
- CDTI R&D projects: Aid for R&D projects developed by companies and aimed at the creation and significant improvement of production processes, products or services.
- CDTI Innovation Hotline: Support for projects of an applied nature, with medium/low technological risk and short periods of investment recovery, which manage to improve the competitiveness of the company through the incorporation of emerging technologies in the sector. The acquisition of new fixed assets is supported, which represents an important technological leap for the company that carries out the project. This aid is subject to the de minimis regime.
