The Regional centre of excellence WAVE (WAVE CRe), from côte d'ivoire, request a spanish company that is interested in participating in the development of a project to manage the existence of common plant pathogens in many countries of Central and west africa

Technology is a key element for increasing food production sustainably
INTERNATIONAL TECHNOLOGY COOPERATION

WAVE CRe is a scientific and technical platform that whose aims is to increase, in a sustainable manner, food production in west and Central africa and to prevent the incursion of exotic plant diseases in new areas. To that end, cooperates with a wide network of universities and national centres of scientific research and technology of the following countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, cameroon, côte d'ivoire, Democratic republic of the Congo, gabon, Ghana, Nigeria, Togo and Sierra Leone.

The Areas of r & D in which this entity is to work are:

  • Mapping and monitoring of infected areas pathogens
  • Study of the behaviour of pathogens
  • Early detection and diagnosis
  • Strengthening national responses to the crop diseases

The spanish company interested in the project that aims to develop must be experienced in some of these areas:

  • Air fenotipado technologies
  • Biotechnology
  • Sequencing technologies
  • Precision agriculture
  • Diagnosis of diseases in plants
  • Bioinformatics

The project between businesses in both countries could be submitted to the convening 2025 of r & D calledtechnology cooperation projects with international certification and unilateral follow-up.
