Open the convening of the european Partnership 2025 Driving Urban Transitions (DUT)
The Partnership Driving Urban Transitions (DUT), co-financed by the european union within the framework of the Horizon, Europe has recently opened the fourth call to support transnational projects of research and innovation that addressed urban challenges to help cities in its transition to more sustainable models
The transnational research projects submitted under the initiativeDriving Urban Transitions (DUT)they must be approached to support cities in its transition to economies and sustainable modes of operation.
The challenges are structured in three areas called transitional Routes (Transition Pathways):
- Districts of Positive Energy (PED)
- City of 15 minutes (15mC)
- Urban economies Circulars (CUE).
Each proposal should include at least three independent legal entities of at least three different countries participating in theJoint convening DUT 2025and who are eligible for funding by their respective national funding agencies and regional agreements.
The consortium will be integrated by universities, businesses, industry organizations, local or regional administrations, research centres and ngos.
Is open to a wide range of scientific disciplines and fosters an intersectional approach. In addition, each proposal should establish clearly the added value of the transnational collaboration.

Aid from the CDTI Innovation
The CDTI Innovation subsidies granted to spanish companies participants whose projects have been selected. Aid is granted individually on the basis of actual eligible cost of each project, the characteristics of the beneficiary and the budgetary availability, in accordance with the ceilings of aid intensity set out in the General regulations on Exemption from Categories:
- 60% for small businesses
- 50% for medium-sized enterprises
- 40 per cent for large companies
In case of budgetary availability on the part of the CDTI, the intensity of aid could be as high as 70 per cent for all.
Submission of applications
The grants are two stages:
- Pre-propuestas: up17/11/2025 to 13:00 CET.
- Complete proposals to:23/04/2026 at 13:00 CET.
Cada empresa española participante en un consorcio deberá enviar a través de laelectronic site CDTI Innovationa COUPLE with preliminary application deadline on 17 november 2025. This request shall contain an online form and a technical memory describing spanish r & D and the kpc budget within the proposal.
