Open the so-called joint KSSP between spain and korea 2025-2026
Today, 24 september 2025, the third joint call of the Korea Spain Strategic Programme (KSSP) for the submission of proposals for international technology cooperation in two key areas: artificial intelligence and semiconductor. The call until 28 january 2026
The centre for technological development and innovation, the ministry of Science, innovation and universities, and the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KYATS) have launched a new joint call within the framework of the programme KSSP aimed at boosting technology cooperation projects in the areas of artificial intelligence and semiconductor.
The time of submission of proposals is opensince 24 september 2025 until 28 january 2026with the objective that the projects selected should begin on 1 august 2026.
Under this agreement, the CDTI KYATS Innovation and undertake to promote, support and financing joint technological projects between korean and spanish companies, which can count on the involvement of non-business, in the spanish case, should do so as subcontractors.
The convening 2025-2026, within the Programme foresees a KSSP funding for projects and high impact, provided that are anchored in any of the areas set out:artificial intelligence or semiconductors.
The Programme KSSP, pioneer in the form with a third country, seeks to make a qualitative leap in the typology of international technology cooperation, increasing intensity in r & D and the budget volume. The approved projects will result in a quality label "" that, in addition to recognizing the technological level of the proposal, allows access to public funding. Each country will assume the financing of their own organizations. In the case of spanish companies, aid is granted through a call for direct allocation managed by the CDTI Innovation, exclusively for those who have obtained the quality label.
Characteristics of the projects
Projects should meet the following requirements:
- Result in a product, process or innovative service.
- Form a partnership, for at least two spanish companies (a big or small as a leader and an additional SMES) and a korean company, all of them independent. The project must be relevant for all partners and no country or a member may focus more than 60 per cent of the budget.
- No applicant may participate in more than one consortium for this invitation. Otherwise, you must choose and select a request to withdraw from the rest.
- To be for a period of between 12 and 36 months.
- Always be for civilian use and compatible with any of the technological area of invitation: artificial intelligence and semiconductor.
- For the spanish side, the overall budget target should be between 2.5 and eur 6 million, with a minimum contribution of the medium-sized enterprises from the 10% of the total budget. The budget must be consistent with the developments and to make the technical capacity/financial assistance of the participants.
In addition, participants should sign a consortium governing rights and obligations of the parties, as well as aspects relating to intellectual property, exploitation and sale of the results.

Submission of proposals
The reporting process distinguishes betweenInternational Application PCTI-PSIandApplication of national aid SPSI.
For theInternational Application, the participants must submit the CDTI and KYATS respectively,until 18:00 hours on 28 january 2026(local time in each agency), request on-line KSSP accompanied by the following compulsory international documentation (in english), common to all partners:KSSP Application Formsigned by all partners.
In Spain, this International Application solely by project, although a number of spanish companies involved in the consortium, and be presented via theelectronic site CDTI.
At the end of the International Application, the CDTI and KYATS Innovation will verify the eligibility of the proposals. Nominations eligible will be assessed by a panel of qualified and independent experts with a score. Only the proposals with a total score higher than the default minimum threshold of 70-100 points will classification list (ranking list).
According to the score will be selected from 2 to 4 projects, to receive the letter of approval KSSP (quality seal) and the confirmation of availability of funds. The allocation of national funds to the requests you selected will order of the classification.
