Aerospace and Health Expansion Direct Line

This type of aid aims to promote innovation in certain Spanish regions that are more disadvantaged and/or that are experiencing special economic difficulties, through the improvement of the capacities of companies that propose technologically innovative investment projects that facilitate their growth.

Characteristics of the assitance

Fixed interest rate: Euribor at 1 year + 0.75%.

Support of up to 75% of the approved budget.

The company must contribute at least 25% of the project budget with its own resources.

Advance of up to 90% of the aid without requiring additional guarantees.

Non-refundable tranche of 20% of the aid.

Return:10 years including a shortage of 2 years.

The CDTI may require the creation of guarantees for the return of aid when the financial economic analysis of the company indicates so.

The CDTI may apply a derogation or exemption from the guarantees requested.

Characteristics of the project

Only projects with development in certain assisted regions will be supported.

Minimum budget: 175,000 euros.

Maximum budget: 30,000,000 euros.

Duration: between 9 and 18 months.

Projects may not be completed later than 31/12/2026.

Aid may be granted to projects belonging to all productive activities eligible for aid, except those excluded under the current regulations.

Investments must be maintained in the beneficiary area for at least five years.

May include third-party funds

Funding with funds from the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism.

The actions financed must respect the principle of not causing significant harm to the environment (DNSH principle).

Specific objectives

Adaptation to any of the lines identified for the field of Avant-garde Health or for the field of Aerospace (consult in the detail sheet of the instrument Annex I on "Definition of technological innovation projects in the fields of Aerospace and Avant-garde Health").

Gastos elegibles

Eligible investments are considered:

The acquisition of new fixed assets that represent technological innovation and improvement of productive capacities in the company that carries out the project.

The investment may take the form of new tangible and intangible fixed assets:

  • ‘material assets’ means assets consisting of machinery and equipment.
  • ‘intangible assets’ means assets which do not have a physical or financial materialisation, such as patents, licences, know-how or other intellectual or industrial property rights.

Evaluation criteria

Criteria for technical evaluation:

- Technical capacity

- Scientific-technical quality and degree of innovation

- Socioeconomic impact, gender perspective and sustainability.

Criteria for financial evaluation:

- Analysis of the consideration of a company in crisis.

- Economic-financial and risk analysis.

- Economic and financial analysis of the project.

- Economic and financial adaptation of the company to the activities it carries out in the project.

Incentive effect

The aid will be considered to have an incentive effect if, before starting work on the project, the beneficiary has submitted his request for aid to the CDTI in writing.

Accumulation and incompatibilities of additional aid perception

The aid is incompatible with any other public aid at European, state or regional level, with the same objectives and purpose.

The aid is incompatible with any private aid whose source of funding comes from funds of the European Union Budget (Structural Funds, European Investment Funds, or others).
