The CDTI SICC Innvierte of Innovation fund invests in the NEXT TECHNOLOGY VENTURES II, F.C.R. to boost companies with innovative solutions to tackle the critical challenges of energy transition
With this challenge, the CDTI Innovation reaffirms its commitment to promote initiatives that would allow domestic firms lead in international markets, generate employment and consolidate its competitiveness through advanced technology
The CDTI innovation, through its Innvierte initiative, has committed an investment of eur 15 million in NEXT TECHNOLOGY VENTURES II, F.C.R. (NLT II) managed by Axon Partners Group. This commitment aims to promote the development of high technology (“ Deeptech ”) in smes in the area of climate (generation and smart grids; intelligent buildings and distribution of energy; transport and mobility; industry; and circular economy) who are found mainly in initial stages.
NEXT TECHNOLOGY VENTURES, F.C.R. II
With a size of more than eur 60 million, the fund NTV II began to build its portfolio by 2023. With a target of between twenty and thirty owned by the fund has already made their first twelve investments in companies developing solutions to global challenges such as industrial decarbonisation (Build to Zero), the generation of green hydrogen and carbon capture (Parallel Carbon), renewable energies and flexibility of the network (Hepta, Phelas or Novatron) and the circular economy (Nextmol). In Addition, these companies develop enabling technologies based on the IoT (Energiot or Wsense), new materials (Jolt) or even Quantum Computing applied to energy (Quilimanjaro).
The fund is managed by Axon Partners Group that in its platform for investment has, from 2019, a strategy that is devoted exclusively to the ecosystem of climate technologies and energy transition, with global scope, but preference for Spain and southern europe.

Innvierte
Innvierte is an initiative aimed at promoting the entrepreneurial innovation through support to the risk capital investment in technology-based enterprises or innovative programme. This is done through the collective investment type closed Innvierte Sustainable Economy SICC S.M.E., S.A., self-managed and under the supervision of the national Values and that the CDTI Innovation is a shareholder Only.
To date, the CDTI innovation has committed 2,183 M €in 57 investment vehicles that have invested in more than 602 companies, and through its joint investment line directly committed an amount of 632 M €in 188 businesses.
Innvierte fits into the strategy for science, technology and innovation 2021-2027, adopted by decision of the council of ministers, in september. This 2020 Strategy contains goals, the reforms and measures to be taken throughout the area of r + D + i in order to boost their growth and impact, and is one of the pillars on which the design of the government's policy in r + D + i for the coming years.

The centre for technological development and innovation, CDTI E.P.E. is the agency for innovation of the ministry of science, innovation and universities, whose goal is the promotion of technological innovation in business. The CDTI mission is to ensure that the business fabric english generates and transform knowledge into growth científico-técnico globally competitive, sustainable and inclusive. By 2024, within the framework of a new strategic plan, the CDTI provided more than $2.3 billion euros of support for business startups and spain.
