CDTI Innovation’s SICC Innvierte invests in Aleos Fund I, a fund launched by Aleos Capital to support the growth of SMEs in the biosciences sector
With this commitment, the CDTI Innovation reaffirms its commitment to investment in SMEs in areas such as health and well-being, sustainable nutrition and climate and environment.
Aleos Fund I is a fund with a target size of 150 million euros and hard cap of 240 million euros, managed by Aleos Capital SGEIC, S.A. (Aleos Capital), a Spanish firm specializing in biosciences. The fund focuses its investment in Spanish and Portuguese SMEs on three verticals of the biosciences sector: health and welfare, sustainable nutrition, and climate and environment. In February 2026 the first closure was made, already exceeding the target size of the vehicle.
The fund has national and international investors, mainly institutional and private, including the commitment of the management team itself. It is a diversified base in which none of the investors exceeds 25% of the total commitments of the vehicle. The commitment of the CDTI Innovation, through Innvierte, in this first closure is 37.5 million euros.
Aleos Fund I is expected to invest tickets of between 15 and 25 million euros to take mainly majority (or relevant minority) shares in companies in Spain and Portugal that operate in these areas of biosciences and have between two and eight million euros of ebitda.
The manager will deploy an active investment strategy, with operational support to its participants. Sectoral consolidation, international expansion, reinforcement of management teams, sustainability and the use of technology will be the main levers to create value.
Through this operation, the CDTI Innovation reaffirms its commitment to investment in SMEs that carry out their activity in areas such as health and well-being, sustainable nutrition, and climate and environment.
