The SICC Innvierte of CDTI Innovation invests together with CRB HEALTH TECH in Zoundream, a company that revolutionizes child care through AI and sound

Annually, around 130 million babies are born worldwide. The crying of the baby is not just a sound; it is a valuable source of information. It communicates the needs, emotions, health and general physical condition of newborns.
ZOUNDREAM, S.L. (Zoundream) is a company that has managed to decipher this communication system, looking for patterns and behavioral dynamics, thanks to the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced speech recognition technology to analyze and interpret the crying of newborns.
Its system, which is born with the aim of monitoring the baby by identifying his needs, is designed to provide continuous and non-invasive monitoring of the health of newborns in their homes. Based on acoustic biomarkers, ranging from the interpretation of crying to support in the early detection of possible pathologies and disorders of neurodevelopment, such as autism, this solution opens the possibility of significantly improving preventive care in children's health.
The CDTI Innovation, through Innvierte, has closed an investment operation in this company with CRB DIGITAL HEALTH III, F.C.R.E. and CRB DIGITAL HEALTH III BIS F.C.R.E., S.A. and the contribution of the CDTI Innovation is 675,000 euros.
With this participation, the entity bets on companies that develop health technology to improve people’s lives.
CRB Health Tech
CRB Health Tech, S.G.E.I.C., S.A. is a venture capital management company specializing in investment in health technologies: biotechnology, medical devices and digital health, which manages the funds CRB DIGITAL HEALTH III, F.C.R.E. and CRB DIGITAL HEALTH III BIS F.C.R.E., S.A. with which the CDTI Innovation makes the co-investment in Zoundream.
Founded in 2008 by a multidisciplinary team based in Madrid and Barcelona, the manager supports visionary entrepreneurs and innovative projects that are transforming the healthcare landscape through the use of disruptive technologies.
The strategy of these funds of CRB Health Tech is oriented to the development of disruptive technologies applied to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of patients, as well as platforms that contribute to improve the efficiency and sustainability of the health system.
Innvierte
Innvierte is an initiative whose objective is to promote business innovation by supporting venture capital investment in technology-based or innovative companies. This program is implemented through the closed-ended collective investment company Innvierte Economía Permanente SICC S.M.E., S.A., self-managed and subject to the supervision of the National Securities Market Commission and of which CDTI Innovation is a single shareholder.
To date, the CDTI Innovation has committed, through Innvierte, 3,478.5 M€ in 61 investment vehicles and, through its co-investment line, has directly committed an amount of 866.1 M€ in 197 companies.
Innvierte is part of the Spanish Strategy of Science, Technology and Innovation 2021-2027, approved by Agreement of the Council of Ministers, in September 2020. This Strategy contains the objectives, reforms and measures that must be adopted throughout the field of R+D+I in order to boost its growth and impact, and is one of the pillars on which the design of the Government's R+D+I policy for the coming years is based.

The Center for Technological Development and Innovation, CDTI E.P.E.
