Innvierte commits investments of 433.5 million euros in 5 investment vehicles in April and May

Since January 2026, the CDTI Innovation, through Innvierte, has closed co-investment operations in 22 companies with a commitment of 53.4 million euros and has committed investments in 9 investment vehicles with a commitment of 575.1 million euros

The CDTI Innovation, promoter and sole shareholder of the company Innvierte, has committed investments in 5 investment vehicles for an amount of 433.5 million euros. In particular:

  • Asabys Innvierte Tech Transfer, FCRE is a fund specialized in biotechnology and medical technologies, managed by Asabys Partners (Barcelona), which will invest in very early stages in the creation and development of innovative companies in the field of deep technologies applied to health based on Spanish scientific excellence, with special focus on technology transfer from universities, hospitals and research centers. The objective of this investment vehicle, second action of the Innvierte Deep Start program of joint indirect co-investment between the CDTI and the FEI in the scope of the National Deep Tech Strategy of Spain 2026-2030, is to promote companies that maximize the use of deep-tech technologies such as artificial intelligence, supercomputing, synthetic biology and new materials, as well as new therapeutic modalities. The commitment of the CDTI Innovation, through Innvierte, is 63.5 million euros, of the total of 74.7 million euros committed through the Deep Start program.

  • Buenavista Buyout Innvierte III España, FCR is a fund managed by the Madrid firm BUENAVISTA BUYOUT, SGEIC, S.A. (Buenavista, Madrid), which focuses on the low/mid-market segment, mainly in key sectors such as health, industry, services and food. This investment vehicle seeks to invest in the majority shares of Spanish companies with high growth and internationalization potential and ability to lead the consolidation of their sector by applying a buy & build strategy. The commitment of the CDTI Innovation, through Innvierte, is up to 75 million euros.

  •  Columbus Innvierte Life Sciences Fund V, FCR is a fund managed by Columbus Venture Partners, focused on investing in companies in the field of life sciences and health. It focuses on European and American technology-based companies, in the areas of biotechnology, advanced therapies, medical devices, precision medicine, diagnostics, digital health and artificial intelligence applied to health. The fund will support both initial phases (series A and B) and more advanced growth rounds, with minimum investments of 2 million euros and its objective is to promote disruptive projects with transformative potential in the health and pharmaceutical industry, favoring innovation and the creation of value in the ecosystem. The CDTI Innovation, through Innvierte, has committed a maximum contribution of 70 million euros in this fund.

  • MCH Iberian Capital Fund VI, FCR is a fund managed by the venture capital firm MCH Private Equity Investments SGEIC, S.A (MCH, Madrid), which invests in companies with a strong innovation component and/or technological base, mainly in three sectors: industrial innovation and technology, food and agro-industry and health, welfare and lifestyle. Companies must have high potential for growth and revaluation, with a minimum age forecast of 3 years and valued between 50 and 250 million euros. MCH drives the growth, transformation and international expansion of companies with the aim of generating long-term sustainable value. The commitment of the CDTI Innovation, through Innvierte, in this fund is up to 125 million euros.

  • Portobello Capital Fund V, FCR is a fund managed by PORTOBELLO CAPITAL GESTION, SGEIC, S.A. (Portobello, Madrid), a reference manager in the Middle Market, which aims to promote dynamic companies, providing value and collaborating closely in their growth, expansion or professionalization. The purpose is that at least 75% of companies have headquarters or activity in Spain, including technology-based and innovative companies. The commitment of the CDTI Innovation, through Innvierte, is 100 million euros.

Innvierte

Innvierte is an initiative whose objective is to promote business innovation by supporting venture capital investment in technology-based or innovative companies. This program is implemented through the closed-ended collective investment company Innvierte Economía Permanente SICC S.M.E., S.A., self-managed and subject to the supervision of the National Securities Market Commission and of which CDTI Innovation is a single shareholder.

To date, the CDTI Innovation has committed, through Innvierte, 3,666.5 M€ in 64 investment vehicles and, through its co-investment line, has directly committed an amount of 889.9 M€ in 197 companies.

Innvierte is part of the Spanish Strategy of Science, Technology and Innovation 2021-2027, approved by Agreement of the Council of Ministers, in September 2020. This Strategy contains the objectives, reforms and measures that must be adopted throughout the field of R+D+I in order to boost its growth and impact, and is one of the pillars on which the design of the Government's R+D+I policy for the coming years is based.
