The CDTI Innovation and the Japanese agency New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) will organize on May 27 in Bilbao the 14th CDTI-NEDO Joint Workshop on Food Technologies, a day focused on technologies applied to the food sector that will be held within the framework of the Expo FoodTech 2026 fair, scheduled at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC).

This event is part of the bilateral technological cooperation activity between the CDTI Innovation and NEDO, a Japanese agency under the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), which includes an agreement to promote and finance R&D&I projects between Spanish and Japanese entities. In this context, both organizations promote this workshop with the aim of showing a representation of the innovative ecosystem of both countries in the field of technologies applied to the food sector and promoting new opportunities for international technological collaboration.

The day will be structured in two main blocks. During the morning the technical sessions and thematic presentations will take place, while the afternoon will be dedicated to private bilateral meetings between interested Spanish entities and the participating Japanese speakers, with the aim of exploring possible joint R+D+I projects.
