The CDTI Innovation seeks a Spanish company to collaborate with Brazil in the development of green cement with low carbon footprint
The initiative will promote technological cooperation between Spain and Brazil in innovative solutions for the decarbonization of the construction industry
This initiative is promoted by the Grupo Argo/Instituto Argo de Ciência e Tecnologia (ICT Argo), a Brazilian innovation group based in Fortaleza, created in 2020 and active in the fields of industrial innovation, energy transition and decarbonization. The organization develops activities of applied R&D, management and financing of innovation projects, venture building and information technology services.
The Brazilian entity is looking for Spanish partners to participate in a technological cooperation project aimed at the development and demonstration on a pilot scale of green cement with low alkaline activated carbon footprint (AAC) from by-products of the steel industry, within the framework of the Hispano-Brazilian Technological Cooperation Programs managed by the CDTI Innovation and, in particular, the FINEP-CDTI joint calls.
To do this, we are looking for Spanish entities that respond to one of the following profiles:
- Technological centers with applied research infrastructure in cement materials, alkaline activation chemistry or industrial decarbonization (for example, centers with pilot plants relevant to the cement sector)
- Companies in the cement sector with R&D capabilities and interest in the development of alternative binders
- Engineering or quality control companies with capacity for certification and CE marking of construction products in Europe
- University research groups with expertise in alkaline activated materials, cementitious system durability and life cycle analysis (LCA)
