The CDTI Innovation seeks a Spanish company to develop an R&D project with South Korea in Artificial Intelligence applied to industrial facilities
The South Korean company SEN Engineering Group seeks a Spanish partner to carry out an R&D project related to artificial intelligence technologies applied to the design, engineering and construction of industrial plants
SEN Engineering Group specializes in the design and manufacture of advanced structural systems (DfMA) and pre-assembled construction methods for large-scale industrial facilities. The company has multiple patents in industrial structural systems, a solid track record in applied research and extensive experience in both national and international engineering and construction projects.
The objective of the project is to develop an advanced industrial construction system based on Modular Construction Systems (DfMA), integrated with security design technology through Artificial Intelligence.
The first block focuses on the design and construction of prefabricated structural elements, using composite steel or prefabricated concrete components, with subsequent assembly on site.
The second block addresses the development of an AI system for risk assessment and human error detection. Based on design data generated with BIM (Building Information Modelling/Management), the system will analyze possible structural and construction risks, detecting errors, inconsistencies or omissions in designs and associated documentation. This will allow a proactive prevention of risks, identifying critical safety problems during the planning and design stages, before starting construction.
The South Korean company is looking for a Spanish company with experience in structural engineering, large-scale industrial construction and application of digital technologies and artificial intelligence that contributes to the development of the proposed DfMA system and tools based on artificial intelligence, ensuring its compatibility with existing regulations. Profiles of interest include construction companies, structural design companies and companies specializing in digital solutions and AI for construction. It is necessary that the candidates also have knowledge in BIM and applicable regulations.
The proposed proposal will be presented to the call KSSP 2025-2026 between Spain and South Korea that will remain open until January 28, 2026.
