Convocatoria Innoglobal 2026
The deadline for submitting applications is from June 17 to July 16, 2026

The CDTI Innovation, the innovation agency of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, will open on June 17 the deadline for submitting applications for the 2026 call of INNOGLOBAL for R&D projects in international technological cooperation, cofinanced by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). Endowed with 30.25 million euros in grants from the CDTI heritage and FEDER 2021-2027 funds, the call finances the participation of Spanish companies in international R&D consortia in international technological cooperation programs and in cooperation projects with Big Science Facilities. The deadline for submitting applications remains open until July 16, 2026.

INNOGLOBAL 2026 is the second call for this ERDF instrument created in 2025 as a specific mechanism to encourage, under a grant regime, the participation of companies located in eligible ERDF regions in the international technological cooperation programs managed by the CDTI, as a reinforcing lever for the Europeanisation and internationalization of Spanish business R&D. The allocation for the 2026 call – 30.25 million euros – represents an increase of 5.25 million (+21%) compared to the 2025 edition.

INNOGLOBAL 2026 finances the activity of SMEs and large companies with less than 499 employees who participate in international technological cooperation consortia or in Big Science projects, with an eligible minimum budget of 175,000 euros and execution in one of the eleven eligible ERDF communities and autonomous cities: Andalusia, Castile-La Mancha, Extremadura, Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Castile and Leon, Valencian Community, Galicia, Region of Murcia, Ceuta and Melilla.

The international technological cooperation programs included in the call are:

(a) Multilateral and bilateral CDTI programmes: Eureka Initiative (Network and Cluster projects), Iberoeka Projects and PRIMA Program, together with the bilateral programs that the CDTI manages with countries such as Germany, Japan, Korea, China, India, Morocco or Brazil, among others.

b) Unilateral international technological cooperation projects: international consortiums with the participation of Spanish companies that effectively collaborate with partners from one of the more than 50 countries eligible under this modality.

c) International cooperation for Large Scientific Installations (Big Science): projects aimed at satisfying the technological needs of the Singular Scientific and Technical Infrastructures (ICTS) included in the Map of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, as well as of the International Scientific Institutions and Infrastructures in which Spain participates: CERN, CTAO, DEMO, ELI, ESO, ESRF, ESS, EST, ET, FAIR, European XFEL, IFMIF-DONES, ITER, ILL y SKAO.

For modalities a) and b), the projects must have obtained international certification by the corresponding body or the international dimension report issued by the CDTI prior to the provisional resolution, with certification date no earlier than 1 January 2025.

For Big Science projects, the applicant must provide a responsible declaration on the existence of the collaboration agreement with international partners and identify the infrastructure to which the results of the project are directed.
