The CDTI Innovation strengthens technological cooperation between Spain and Brazil in energy transition
The Brazil-Spain Innovation Dialogue has brought together companies, technology centres and institutions from both countries in Madrid and Valladolid to identify opportunities for collaboration and promote joint R&D&I projects in technologies linked to the energy transition
The CDTI Innovation has organized, together with the Brazilian entities FINEP, EMBRAPII and ApexBrasil the Brazil-Spain Innovation Dialogue on energy transition, which was held last week in Madrid and Valladolid and where companies, technology centers, research organizations and institutions from both countries met to identify opportunities for collaboration and generate new joint R&D&I initiatives.
The inaugural day took place at the headquarters of the CDTI Innovation, where institutional representatives from Spain and Brazil welcomed a delegation made up of Brazilian companies and scientific and technological institutions. During the meeting, entities from both countries presented their capacities and experiences in strategic areas related to the energy transition, favoring the exchange of knowledge and the identification of opportunities for collaboration.
The interest in strengthening technological relations between Spain and Brazil was reflected in the holding of more than 50 bilateral meetings, which allowed the exploration of possible projects of international technological cooperation between companies, technology centers and research agencies of both countries.
The program also included technical visits to reference infrastructures in energy innovation, such as the IMDEA Energy Institute, where the participants got to know its laboratories of thermochemical, biotechnological, electrochemical and high-temperature processes, as well as its solar simulation facilities and pilot plants, the Iberdrola Innovation and Training Campus, an international space dedicated to intelligent networks, digitalization, operation and maintenance and specialized technical training in energy transition, and the CARTIF Technological Center, where presentations and round tables were held on industrial innovation, artificial intelligence and emerging technologies and a visit to its twin experimental installations in renewable energy.
